Making Yeast Buns

I like eating things I made not only because most off the time they taste better but also because I know what is inside of it. Last Weekend I made some yeast buns which tasted amazing. I got the receipt from my grandmother. She told me that she got taught this by her mum when she was my age. I loved those buns and I wanted to share the receipt with you.
A little warning though, because you are baking with yeast, you have to make sure that you need lots of time.

What you need:
1 pack of yeast (fresh)
1/4 liter milk
75 gram of sugar
150 gram of melted butter
1 Egg
600 gram flour
a little bit of salt
Coarse sugar

Step 1:  First you need to warm up the milk until it becomes lukewarm. After that you crumble the yeast in it and put a little bit of the sugar in it.  Keep everything warm and covered with a fabric for about 20 minutes.

Step 2:  Get the flour, the rest of the sugar, salt, the egg, the melted butter and milk with yeast into one big bowl. Most likely use a kitchen-machine to knead everything together, you can also use your hands if you want to. If the pastry feels a little wet you can put some more flour in it. Keep everything warm and covered for about 2 hours.

Step 3:  After that you part the pastry in some little parts. Be carefully cause the buns are going to grow in the oven, so don't make them to big. Part the little parts again and make three little roles out of them so you can braid them. Use some baking paper and put it on baking tray. Cover the braided buns up again and keep them warm for about half an hour. After that you brush some milk on the top of them and you put some coarse sugar on them.

Step 4:  Now you put the buns in the oven. For this you need a temperature of about 200 to 225 *C. These little buns need about 10 to twenty minutes it depend on how big you made them. You can also just braid one big bun.
